When Retro Takes An Oriental Twist

The brief to us was straightforward – To go retro BUT more Chinese than Mid-century Modern. From the get-go, we wanted to create a full stretch dark wood tone feature wall to anchor the entire home (which is rather large considering the dining and living room forms one big fluid space) and set the scene for that earnest vintage vibe. Because our Clients and I love breeze block, it was only natural for us to incorporate them into this feature wall.
